About Cupwell

What this site is
Cupwell writes out everyday hydration as a timetable. Instead of telling you to drink more water, it gives you clock times, millilitre marks, and jug recipes with ratios that produce the same drink twice.
The site is deliberately narrow. There are three sections — day plans, infused water, and habit anchors — and nothing else. Each entry aims to be checkable: if a plan says 1250 ml before lunch, you can count it and say whether it worked.
How entries are added
Entries are written in batches and published on a fixed schedule, a few at a time, rather than all at once. New plans and recipes appear on the site on their publication day, and the sitemap is regenerated at the same time.
Because of that drip, a section may look short on your first visit. The list pages show what is out today; scheduled entries are not listed and have no page until they are published.
What we are not
Cupwell is not a medical, dietetic or sports-science practice, and the site does not provide individual advice. Fluid needs vary with body weight, medication, kidney and heart conditions, pregnancy, and climate. The schedules here are general patterns drawn from ordinary practice and published guidance on fluid intake.
Every entry that touches on intake carries the same caution: if you have kidney disease, heart failure, liver disease, or take diuretics or lithium, ask your clinician how much you should drink before you follow anything on this site.
How the numbers were chosen
Where a figure appears, it comes from one of three places: a published range (for example the 800–1200 mg of sodium per litre of sweat, or the 10–15 ml per minute rate at which the stomach empties), an arithmetic derivation that is shown in the entry itself, or a working figure that is labelled as a starting point to adjust.
- Ranges are given as ranges, not as single authoritative numbers.
- Every calculated total is shown with its running sum so you can check it.
- Anything marked as a starting point is meant to be changed after two weeks of your own records.
Corrections
If a number here is wrong, or a schedule did not work for you and you can say why, write to [email protected]. Corrections that come with a source get priority.
